Open House and Free Pork Loin Feed at Hamlin County Dairy August 4

SIOUX FALLS, SD –Agriculture United for South Dakota and the Midwest Dairy Association will be hosting an open house and free pork loin feed at Drumgoon Dairy near Lake Norden, SD, on Saturday, August 4 from 10:00 am–1:00 pm.

Visitors to the open house will be able to tour the 1,200 cow dairy, owned and operated by Rodney and Dorothy Elliott. The facility features cross-ventilated barns.

“We appreciate the Elliott family’s willingness to open up their dairy farm to their neighbors,” said Steve Dick, Ag United Executive Director.

“It is an excellent opportunity for neighbors to see first hand operation of a modern day dairy facility,” he added.

Drumgoon Dairy is located from Lake Norden: 4 miles east on Highway 28 and 2.5 miles north on Highway 81. From Hayti, 4 miles east on Highway 21 and 2.5 miles south and Highway 81. Watch for the signs.

Additional sponsors of the open house include the South Dakota Corn Utilization Council and the South Dakota Soybean Research & Promotion Council.
